This Fall, Tom is teaching a 16 hour in-depth look at the largest migration of children in American history. It runs every Monday from 10 am to 12 noon until November 15th. In 1878 an orphan train stopped in Congers and Ann and Jamie Courter were taken in by two different farm families.

Over 1.2 million people died of starvation, 2.3 million migrated to Europe, Australia, Canada and America. The population in Ireland was reduced by more than 4 million people in 7 years. Power Point Presentation on February 25th at 7pm. Did you know that The Golden State Killer was captured by the work of a renowned genealogist, Barbara Rae Venter. The Golden State Killer committed more than 50 rapes and 14 killings over a 14 year period before he was captured. Repeated attempts to track him down were foiled even though hundreds of law enforcement officers were assigned to the case. Today thousands of cold cases, some more than decades old, are being cracked because of genealogy, genetics and DNA. Killers, rapists, terrorists, kidnappers, bombers and criminals are being brought to justice and families finally find peace knowing that the perpetrator has been captured and justice has been done.
